Dr. Laura Mac received her Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida “GO GATORS”. She then continued to earn a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. Laura has a passion for learning, researching, and helping children communicate. In December of 2015, she received her Doctorate in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, with a research concentration in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Laura is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Florida and a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
On a personal note, Laura is a Florida native and mother of 3 beautiful children. She has had field experience working with pediatrics across diverse professional settings (hospitals, schools, private practice). She has a special interest children with autism spectrum disorders, pragmatic disorders, language delays, articulation disorders, feeding disorders/aversions, orofacial myology and developmental apraxia of speech. Laura has extensive experience working with various populations including patients with diagnoses such as: central auditory processing disorder, ADD/ADHD, developmental delays, various genetic syndromes and neurological disorders, dysphagia, dysarthria, cleft lip/palate, pervasive developmental disorder, voice disorders, and traumatic brain injury.
